Abstract

Research indicated that the application of artificial intelligence has raised the caliber of English theses in recent years. This study focused on understanding the perceptions of Grammarly in English-major seniors' thesis writing. 150 participants in the survey were English-major seniors at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, who were working on their theses. This study employed both quantitative and qualitative methods, analyzing data collected through online questionnaires and interviews. The findings of this study provided valuable insights into how AI-powered tools like Grammarly affect the writing process and quality of English theses in the perception of the students, which could help teachers better incorporate these technologies into their academic writing assistance programs.
